Having visited my family recently....

My mum didn't get to spend too much time with her girls growing up because of work. To me she was quite strict and a little distant, but I know she did her best for a large family. She's a fantastic grandmother now and I love to see how differently she relates to her grandchildren and the pleasure it gives her. She gets on especially well with my adopted daughter.

That is my wife with the grandson.

My daughter has often said to me, why didn`t I get that kind of treatment? I`d look at her and say, I didn`t get that kind of treatment either, so you and I are even. 😅

Lol…… that is so accurate. My mom the mother and my mom the grandmother were two completely different people.

Grandparents are da best 😁
