Sounds like some of the fake ass liberals over here in Chicago. If you look at a map of the last election for example, you'll see that Chicago is BLUE. However, the city is still so segregated and divided that you wouldn't even realize it.

A lot of liberals are only liberal when it comes to issues that they care about. Other than that, they can be just as bad as conservatives.

My grandparents are Biden voters but then I overheard them talking about the gay neighbors and they referred to them as f*gs. Pretty gross.

You can see this a lot in the black community too. Pretty liberal on some social issues but that community is filled with homophobic sentiments bc a lot of them are Christians.
