It's Mother's day somewhere, but not here for me.
Still, I wish those celebrating... a wonderful day.
And for those missing their moms.... she's always in your heart and memories. It doesn't change how much you miss her, but she's always with you.
I haven't had my mom around for over 20 years... and yes... I miss her.

@SW-User Awww, thank you, for your very kind and wise words. I miss my Mother, too. This is your day, too. 😊🤗💜💐🙏
Interestingly, Guernsey, Ireland, Isle of Man, Jersey, Nigeria, United Kingdom, celebrate the fourth Sunday of Lent.
March 25th (or the nearest Sunday) is nine months before December 25th (you work it out...) It was traditionally a day off for servants, who could use it to return home and visit their mothers, since they wouldn't get to see them during the rest of the year, on average.

@Oster1 May 8th is when Mother's day is celebrated here.
We many celebrate on different days but it still has the same meaning.
I wouldn't wish to be a servant only seeing mother one day a year. I wonder how the bond was between children and parents like that.
