They’re yours …
Not at all wrong. She just wants to keep them ☺️
KaysHealingPath · 36-40, F
@nonsensiclesnail it’s not like I got out an buy myself $50+ running shorts just because all the time 🥺

Plus my husband got them for me during one of our family vacations.

I just had a baby those were the only pair I had that fit, the others are way too big or way too small
@KaysHealingPath exactly! You’re not wrong. ☺️ I’d just send her a reminder about every three days…
SW-User
This is why I hate lending things to people, it's terrible to have to beg to get your own belongings back,

No you're not wrong to say it, she needs to have respect for other people's items, needs to know she just can't have what she wants when she wants it.
KaysHealingPath · 36-40, F
@SW-User to boot she’s 21 and I didn’t want to let her borrow them

She stayed over my house as a way to weasel her way out of spending time with my brother she made everyone so uncomfortable
But my husband put me on the spot
So I lent her what would fit her, she said she’d leave them and I expected her to do so
Sujbftihe · F
Obviously a selfish girl. Not to be trusted.
Virgo79 · 61-69, M
They are yours🤷‍♂️
Crypitika · 36-40, M
Nope, not wrong at all. Your husband bought them. Even if you had many pairs and they were cheap. You didn't expect her to leave with them or let her keep them
4meAndyou · F
Remember this when she asks for a co-signer on a loan...🤣🤣🤣
Sujbftihe · F
There are some people without pride or scruples. @4meAndyou
4meAndyou · F
@Sujbftihe She was from a wealthy lawyers family in Hingham. The father refused to pay for his children's college, and told them they would have to figure it out themselves. Horrible man.
Virgo79 · 61-69, M
@4meAndyou then again maybe he had a reason😕
KaysHealingPath · 36-40, F

My reply to her
It's your stuff. 🤷 It isn't your fault she's in another state with it and will now have to pay to ship it back.

I hate lending people things for this reason.
OverTheHill · 56-60, M
Why not go out and buy yourself a less expensive pair and start running? Then when you get your other running shorts you can go back to using them.
KaysHealingPath · 36-40, F
@OverTheHill because summer is almost over and it’s not something that’s stocked at cheaper stores right now
And if it’s stocked it’s usually huge or tiny sizes
meggie · F
Maybe she has lost them or damaged them in which case she should replace them. I don't lend things anymore as so many people say they are too busy to return them or make excuses. One borrowed a black skirt for a funeral and kept wearing it.
KaysHealingPath · 36-40, F
@meggie I’m so sorry 😞
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
You are not wrong at all.
Not my style but i understand. You want your shit back.
MellyMel22 · F
[c=BF0080]I’d be annoyed by it too. I don’t borrow or loan clothes out. If someone needs something, they get what I don’t want back. But I get that you were put in an awkward position. Sorry to hear you weren’t given the respect you deserved for helping. There was no reason for her to take your stuff home. It should’ve stayed there. I find it strange she “accidentally” took it home. Hopefully it wasn’t intentional 😟 [/c]
KaysHealingPath · 36-40, F
@MellyMel22 it was most definitely intentional not 20min after my last reply to her (in the comments) she found them under her folded sheets 🙄
She claimed her cousin found them and went out to ship them but the picture of the tracking she sent it’s her hand with the bracelet and ring my mom gifted her for her graduation
MellyMel22 · F
@KaysHealingPath [c=BF0080]Wow. That’s shady 😡[/c]
Glassysky · 22-25, M
Women arr so petty lmao..
KaysHealingPath · 36-40, F
@Glassysky it’s more than just about the shorts.

My husband got them during a trip for me, the trip was a tribute to our deceased twins.

Also she exhibited some extremely shitty behavior while here, see my reply to texchick
TexChik · F
Nope I would be pissed! Especially after asking for them back, twice! She probably ly wouldn’t be welcome in my home again . That’s trashy behavior
KaysHealingPath · 36-40, F
@TexChik she’s not welcome back at all after the stunt she pulled when she was here

She made it seem like she was looking forward to seeing my brother so he booked a flight from Colorado to come spend time with her and then she stood him up.
My mom was catering to her tantrum too I was livid, not because she stood my brother up, although it did irritate me, the fact that when they finally showed up at my place in the evening to visit she weaseled her way into staying st my house while my brother went to stay at my moms, I didn’t want her here in the first place

She was in Chicago for 2-3m and the 2x she came to visit with my mom she made my mom leave like in 30-45m my mom lives about an hour away. 1.5 with traffic, she had spinal surgery years ago and it’s painful for her to sit for long periods of time, I’m not my moms biggest fan but that’s why I don’t really pressure her to visit me, but once she’s here she should take a break before driving back. And both time that she came she didn’t even bother to greet me or my husband.

She’s 21 and wasn’t raised this way, I’m so done with her.
TexChik · F
@KaysHealingPath good for you . We all have those types in our families 🤦🏻‍♀️
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
Nope and did you ever get them back?
KaysHealingPath · 36-40, F
@cherokeepatti yes I did then I blocked her on all social media 😌
