@NeuroticByNature couple of years ago there were a pair of ravens hanging around. One got hit on the road. I couldn’t just leave it to be desecrated by traffic. So I stopped to move it into the trees for a more dignified resting place. The whole time it’s mate was watching me. The next couple days it kept watch over its mate in a tree just above it. On the third or fourth day it too was dead in the road exactly in the same spot as it’s mate. I moved that one too. It was a very sad day for me
