Understood.
But it's just an illusion.
And this too shall pass.

@Zonuss honestly, this is a life long feeling.
My dad did everything he could to avoid spending time with me. My mum constantly complained how overwhelming it was having me and wished she could be out with my dad at parties etc!

She kept me on such a tight leash, I desperately tried to be good so I wasn't a burden to her.

The same with family members, my cousins were often cruel to me and I would be graceful and often just take it because I needed them more than they needed me.

It's sad especially as it's only made them think I'm a weirdo, where they excluded me more.

People pleasing to the max!

I feel the same way.. As for me, I blame myself for pushing people away. I had had enough of people's expectations from me. What we need to do is try to feel happy on our own. Try to do things which make us happy rather than others. I know easier said than done but hang in there my friend.. We will definitely make it to the brighter end of the tunnel.

@nick030 I hope that with time you will feel less alone.

What can you do to get out and meet new people?
Mellowgirl · 31-35, F
@hartfire I walk the dog.
But honestly, I find that people don't really connect.
I've started a new job and they do social things but it's mostly fitness related can't say it appeals to me but might have to try.. I just know what I'm like fitness ( I won't commit to it)
