If I make around $8k a month from my little side hustle business, should I buy a brand new car that cost $65,000?

Or should I just stick with the pre-owns that is less than 30k?

Save the money and buy an income property… make your money work for you!! Take it from someone who has had his fair share of nice cars and boats. I should be retired with what I’ve earned in my life and I’m not cause I pissed it away on stupid stuff. I enjoyed it but could be in such a better position today if I used my money correctly!!

Save the money now for later you might not earn that kind of money later.

A car is a liability. You’ll never make money on it. Buy a used car and invest most of that money you’re earning

Don't you just hate when your side hustle pays better than your real job
DallasCowboysFan · 61-69, M
Holy cow, what kind of work do you do on the side and make that kind of money...
Do you work full time as well?

Anyhow, what kind of car are you looking for... some cars that cost 65K new and sell used for 30K are not a bargain.

Have you considered invested a few thousand in cryptos....like Shiba Inu, LunaC or Ethereum?

Buy a tesla

Save up for next year and buy the cybertruck
And then get a cool wrap for it

Buy new. Used cars now are dramatically overpriced. I just priced out a 2 year old Cadillac XT5 with 24,000 miles and I can buy a new one for less than $2600 more
buy a house first . pay it off in full and then worry about a car

I like cars etc but they are the worst investment
Dan193 · 31-35, M
@DownTheStreet teslas arent, they keep their prices over time, because Elon keeps increasing the cost of the self driving feature on every new model. And the old models get the update for free.

Pre owned cars r much more worth the money
You selling feet picks on feetfinder aren’t you?

A car is probably the worst investment you can make. Even when I was making six+ figures a year, I never owned an expensive car.

Stick with the pre-owned and make sure it is a consistently reliable (year after year of Consumer Reports rankings) brand like Honda and Toyota

There's rarely any good reason to buy a new car or a supposed luxury brand even if you have and will always have money to burn

Moreover circumstances change, and you should never finance a car purchase, if you can't pay cash for it wait ... when things go south, the rest of us don't want to have to bail you out because you lived too heavily on credit, and $65k is too high a percentage of that side income for the cash purchase of anything, never mind a car
