Is it safe to take a leisurely walk around your neighbourhood at 2 in the morning ?

Until a few short years ago, I would have said 'yes'. Where I live has always been safe. Then we got a liberal governor, and became a 'Sanctuary State', and the country was taken over by a traitor. Now there are gangs, drugs, and crime all around us, and it's seeping into my safe little town.

Yes. It would be extremely stupid to try something in my neighborhood. A Retired FBI Agent lives across the street from me, a State Trooper lives 3 houses north of mine, two sheriffs' deputies and 3 city police officers live on intersecting streets with mine, and a current BATF Agent lives on the corner at the entrance to my neighborhood. Yep, it's actually quite safe.

I think many locals would say, “yes.” However, even though this is still a low crime area, relatively speaking, the fact that when I first came here murders occurred once every couple, or more years apart, are now several a year, plus a rise in assaults, and muggings. This is due to Leftist policies of bringing in illegals who are not vetted, and criminals are released back onto the street instead of being jailed. This makes me say, “no.”

Yeah. It would probably be fairly empty and that's not the time I'd be out, but I wouldn't be afraid to do so. Not much crime here.

It depends on the neighborhood. I don't recommend walking around in the South side of Chicago at 2AM.

I don't know about now. 7 or 8 years ago I actually did take walks down to the waterfront in the wee hours, just to try get tired enough to sleep...although usually it woke me up...🤣🤣🤣. I never had any problems, and sometimes couples were also out walking for exercise, but I stopped walking at that hour when I noticed a single man, also out walking, staring at me.

It was in the low 90’s last night at 2 a.m. The heat didn’t want to go away. Hot again today, maybe 3 degrees less than the 109 we had yesterday.

Sure. I live in a rural area by vineyards. I imagine it would be pretty empty and quiet at that time. I'd be careful of the main highway the runs through here though. Cars tend to drive fast down it and there aren't a lot of lights.

I have gone on walks at 10-11 at night around the neighborhood when it was extremely hot during the day. I’m not even going to consider it today cause it’s going to 110F. For the high and the pavement will be releasing heat all night long.

Actually yeah 👌 there's some questionable addicts who hang around the canal nearby though which is by the walkway path everyone jogs on. I'd tell people to stay away from there at night. But safe for me though 😌

I live in a very rural area, there are a few places I avoid because the wrong kind of people hang out there but overall, it isn't too bad. I normally carry, especially when out at night. In my area, I am more likely to meet a bear or a bobcat than anything else.

Yes, you wouldn't have any problems with people, but a flashlight might keep you from stepping on a snake. The cottonmouths and copperheads are out at night.

Probably not there are cougars on the prowl at that time of night (4 legged cougars). Cheers!

Not safe anywhere! Some young guy in my hood got shot dead by a crazy woman in daylight..:and I live in a ritzy area.

Odds are in my favor, but I feel it would be foolish to consider myself safe.

No I am currently staying in a high crime area. 4 people shot down the street from me this weekend but that's just one of many shootings around here. All crime is out of hand here, so no I would not

Yes. There would be no traffic and probably no one would be awake. My dogs would be though......

Just don't go banging on doors or messing around in anyone's yard and you'll be ok.

I suspect so. If, in my community, we can get enough people together for a parade, generally, there's no one left to watch, so I would trust you are safe.

Yes....often walked home off the last train from Cardiff which gets in after 1a.m.

Around my neighbourhood,generally yes - in other areas several miles away,not really.
