@Trippy i thought her dad the scientist would have been the bad guy, but at the end i actually agreed with him he was just trying to protect her and make it so nothing could harm her. And Gio wasn't even really apart of the story it wasn't until the end where he said he killed her to show how evil science is Hawthorn was one of the best writers.
