I am bored this morning. Tell us 10 fun/interesting things about yourself. 🙂

1. When I go on a vacation I like to find something natural to bring back as a souvenir….rocks, a pine cone, sea shells etc.
2. My favorite movies have good character development including some weird ones…life is full of strange characters…Slingblade is a good example of a variety of interesting characters.
3. I learned to hand embroider before I started to school. I was interested after visiting older friends and watching them do handiwork.
4. In fourth grade we were given reading assignments in the afternoon and usually given 45 minutes or so to finish. If I was through in 20 minutes I’d get bored. I learned how to mirror-write in cursive out of boredom. I still do it either when I am bored or when I am stressed and need to think things out. Sometimes write a whole notebook sheet of paper full of thoughts.
5. Sometimes I have dreams about places before I actually even think of going to those places…lucid colorful dreams full of details that end up happening.
6. My favorite time of day to enjoy is from 30 minutes before sunrise to about 2 hours afterwards. It seems to be the most peaceful part of the day.
7. I like to experiment with recipes and create new ones.
8. I had a number of phobias in childhood after accidents or trauma that I’ve overcome, but I’ll never trust an animal with hooves to walk behind me ever again.
9. I had a near-death experience when I was 14 years old and it helped give me a sense of peace about things in life.
10. I love natural medicine and use it as much as possible for healing.

These are things that may seem ordinary to some, but to me, it is interesting, it holds my interest in ways that are hard to express. It is best described as love. It is in no particular order.

@Stereoguy I do some volunteer work there on some weekends when i can. Mostly related to tech and some manual labour like painting the walls and stuff.
The smiles, the happiness, the joy they show in the simplest things, it is magical and warms the soul. They may not have much, but they are truly happy souls. It is a great reminder to root ourselves and be thankful daily with whatever blessings we have, even when it is not much.
