I Am In My High School's Marching Band
Hey everyone. So, the drum major for my high school is graduating this year, and that means there will be try-outs for a new one sometime in June or so. The requirements to be the drum major are simple:
1. No grade limit (Meaning you can be any grade and try out)
2. One year of experience in marching or pep band. I have that covered.
3. You must be able to conduct in 3/4, 4/4, and 5/4 with no baton. I don't have that covered.
So, I was wondering if there was a website or videos that could teach me or give me a general idea of how to conduct in these times. Like I said, there's no rush, but I know there will be a good competition for drum major and I'd like to go ahead and be prepared as much as possible.
Thanks!
