(Pollution I can understand but ozone? Really? There is an ozone-rich layer in the atmosphere but at very high altitude.)
@ArishMell What causes elevated ozone levels?
This happens when pollutants emitted by cars, power plants, industrial boilers, refineries, chemical plants, and other sources chemically react in the presence of sunlight. Ozone is most likely to reach unhealthy levels on hot sunny days in urban environments, but can still reach high levels during colder months.

@robingoodfellow It can but I think it breaks down or becomes safely dilute quite rapidly.

I would suggest the more direct effects of the pollutants, and indeed of the sun's own radiation, on our health are the greater hazard.
