If you are stranded in a major city without any of your belongings

Then what's the first thing you do (assuming you don't know the local language)
Gangstress · 41-45, F Best Comment
funnily enough, all people aren't bad and I would ask someone if I could borrow a phone (its not hard to make a phone geture), call home and get my partner/parent to contact someone where I am.

Luckily I have family and friends darted around the world
Doometernal · 26-30, M
@Gangstress haha dumb but genius

That's all I say.
NickiHijab · F
@Gangstress at 15? Oof. You handled it pretty well.
Gangstress · 41-45, F
@NickiHijab mate I was clued up to fuck at 15 lol

I used to use the excuse of no bus fare all the time :) then I spent the money on fags

I was Mina Patel for years lol

NickiHijab · F
Idk. I can just imagine Chris tucker screaming "do you understand the words coming out of my mouth" but that was borderline racist so probably not that.
Doometernal · 26-30, M
@NickiHijab what showed you that I was defensive?

Can you describe it with proof?

I'm just we curious as you.
NickiHijab · F
@Doometernal do you want a scientific journal as source or would reflecting on this conversation be enough?

I'm just as curious as you.
Doometernal · 26-30, M
@NickiHijab if you think of me that way then yeah, show me
.

I'll jump of a bridge that's high enough to hurt me real bad, but not high enough to kill me in public. A bystander will probably call an ambulance on my behalf, and once in the hospital, administration will almost certainly want someone who speaks English to talk to me so I can pay my bills (if applicable) and answer medical questions. Unless they're a real douchebag, they'll hook me up with someone who can actually help.

Alternatively, I could look for an airport and attempt to walk in. I would almost certainly be stopped by security and interviewed, at which point I could explain my situation to an agent that speaks English. Should be relatively easy to find an airport if one's nearby for obvious reasons.
Doometernal · 26-30, M
@BlueVeins don't think too much. The best answer I tagged will work always.
FurryFace · 61-69, M
@BlueVeins yeah i'd go with the Airport idea , lol
get naked and start running
@Majorlatency just influencer things
@PepsiColaP I knew an influencer who was diagnosed with paranoia.

He believed nobody was following him.
Doometernal · 26-30, M
@PepsiColaP are you an influencer?
JoeyFoxx · 51-55, M
If I have no money, I go look for a soup kitchen to volunteer and get some food
Doometernal · 26-30, M
@JoeyFoxx good answer.

But you don't understand the language. How do you even figure out the soup kitchen or local food store?
JoeyFoxx · 51-55, M
@Doometernal follow the street people
TessDun · 36-40, F
Borrow someone’s else’s phone log into my social media account then ask for help or money from family or friends
go to a café to sit & have a meal & figure out my next move

@Doometernal eh they probably have a phone there i could use at least, but idk how to dial out for international call
Doometernal · 26-30, M
@lovelywarpedlemon that's exactly I tagged a best answer below

Really the best option is to find a place where you can call someone and then that someone will handle your stuff.

Finding a place with phone is the main priority. You can use phone gestures and it will always work..
SnowBlack · 18-21, F
I'd yell "speak English?" to attract attention and help.
FurryFace · 61-69, M
@SnowBlack lol i hear ya
Gangstress · 41-45, F
@SnowBlack id hope someone slaps you hard if honest.
SnowBlack · 18-21, F
@Gangstress How rude.
Keepitsimple · 51-55, F

Keepitsimple · 51-55, F

CountScrofula · 41-45, M
Find the consulate.
Doometernal · 26-30, M
@CountScrofula trust me . It's not the best option. There are better
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
@Doometernal Eh depends on the city.
Doometernal · 26-30, M
@CountScrofula true. But there is always a one site fits all solution. It's the one I tagged below
FurryFace · 61-69, M
talk with God , i'll need his help
Doometernal · 26-30, M
@FurryFace don't worryyy he won't help you

But going to the nearest religious place, it's a great solution
FurryFace · 61-69, M
@Doometernal you don't know that
do I have my purse
Doometernal · 26-30, M
@Doometernal then I sit on the curb and cry my eyes out
Doometernal · 26-30, M
@saragoodtimes bwst solution is to find the thing people pray for in the country you are stranded in

And then go visit that. There wjll always be atleast one person who will help you (even though majority might dislike you.)

You'll get away, find the embassy and go on your route.
SW-User
Get something to eat; you feel better :P
Doometernal · 26-30, M
@SW-User how?

I said no belongings. Which means no money too
Thevy29 · 41-45, M
First step, find a safe place to bed down and setup a base. Then find a plan to get money for food and necessities.
Glassysky · 22-25, M
TheLordOfHell · 41-45
Hmm...go to the U.S. Embassy
TheLordOfHell · 41-45
@Doometernal Hahaha I dunno, I'd be so screwed
Doometernal · 26-30, M
@TheLordOfHell that's why this question.

Maybe brainstorm a way
TheLordOfHell · 41-45
@Doometernal Seriously, I'd go to the police. Bound to be a translator with them. And they could direct me to the Embassy
empanadas · 31-35, M
go to a Starbucks because i know someone will be able to speak English there
Doometernal · 26-30, M
@empanadas not true. Check Starbucks map.
empanadas · 31-35, M
@Doometernal if not McDonald's or burger king
Doometernal · 26-30, M
@empanadas again. Not true

I tagged a best answer down. If you are trapped ever then it's the best solution.
