If cars trucks and planes operated on freon gas, would the emissions be cooling earth?

Operate how? It's inert. Might as well have a steam engine.
cycleman · 61-69, M
@Tastyfrzz but the steam would heat things more eh?

@cycleman do your imagining heating or compressing freon gas and then using it to turn a turbine or push a piston then be repressurized. Many materials can be used to do this but you need to optomize the efficiency which as I recall is based on the enthalpy of the fluid. Get out your thermodynamics book and pick a cycle that you want to use and start designing.

Freon would mess with the ozone layer.

What if everyone on the planet turned on their AC and opened their doors and windows? Wouldn't that cool things down pretty darn fast?

Freon? What put a hole on the ozone layer?

That's a good way to ensure total devastation of the planet in short order.. goodbye ozone layer and hello sun's full array of radiation.
