I can't think of a less painful suggestion, can you? I wouldn't want a doctor to live with the guilt of administering these remedies; it really should be a personal journey, and a home-made one is so cheap it's accessible to just about anyone who can find $20. It's better than starving to death, or dying of dehydration, or dying slowly from sickness.
