Lil trick I learned during covid.

In the produce section, they sometimes spray lettuce or other veggies with water. Wet your finger and thumb there and then your damp fingers will be able to open the bag on first try.

Beats licking them. 🤣

One time while in the grocery store during the pandemic, I was in the produce section at the grocery store trying to open one of those dang bags. I usually just lick my fingers and open them fairly easily, but obviously unable to do that then. I sat there a long time trying to get that sucker open when a young lady approached me with an already opened bag, gave it to me and took my unopened back from me. Lol. I must have looked pretty pathetic there and she felt sorry for me, I guess! 🥴😂

@Lilymoon I don’t touch the sprayer, just dampen my fingers with the spray. But also keep a tiny little bottle of hand sanitizer in the outer pocket of my purse in case I touch a chicken package. I have used a drop of hand sanitizer to moisten my fingers to get the bags opened.

I usually get them open fine, but sometimes they misfeed and don't catch properly at the pre-stressed tear line.

Wet your fingers first. It will open quite easily. I touch the celery which is usually wet.

@Lilymoon I really think it’s because I have naturally dry hands. So, my finger tips are probably dry making it easier to separate the bags. I use lotion but my hands have always naturally been dry. Even when the lady taking my finger prints had a difficult time and had to do it several times and I believe it’s due to my finger tips being dry. Lol 😂 so that’s the secret sadly.
