Apparently one of my co-workers thinks I’m there to entertain them during lunch 🤔
My assistant Bryanna and I were taking our lunch break together in the break room when some lady from another department we share a building with came in to join us. After a minute or so, she loudly (obnoxiously) says “It’s so quiet in here,” while laughing. Bryanna laughed with her, but I just shrugged and kept eating my lunch. After a couple more minutes, the lady gets up and leaves, saying “I’m outta here, you gals are too quiet,” all giggling like an idiot on her way out.
Lmao, okay? What, does she think we’re there to act as her court jesters during lunch break? Sometimes we’re chatty, sometimes we just eat our lunch or do our own thing. Sorry she didn’t catch us on a more talkative lunch break day, I guess. But Bryanna and I sure were talking after she left though. Seriously, wtf? 😂
I don’t know that woman very well, but I never had much of a high opinion from what I do know of her. She seems friendly, but also a bit obnoxious. She’s one of those people who seems to think they’re hilarious and has to crack jokes about every little thing. That and she just doesn’t appear to be all that bright. I mean, if she wanted things to be more lively in that room, she could’ve just as easily started up a conversation herself 🤷
But again, I guess she was under the impression that we’d be there to keep her entertained during her break. I should’ve clapped my hands in a circle and asked if that was loud enough for her. What an idiot! 🤣
