One study I've seen said that immunity from reinfection of pre-omicron covid begins to wane after 7 months. 70% in the 16th month, 50% in the 22nd month, and <10% in the 32nd month. Immunity against Omicron infection after pre-omicron primary infection was 38.1% and declined over time to an effectiveness of <10% by the 15th month. Immunity from severe, critical or fatal covid remained high (97.3% effective) with no evidence of waning, irrespective of variant of primary infection or reinfection.
I doubt anyone here is an "expert" I guess it all varies especially for folks at high risk (as I am) age, medical history, and so many other factors come into play here. Personally, I'm way overdo for my second booster so thanks for the reminder.
Honestly, with the variables being many, it appears to alst from shortly after you recover until you again are infected. Not being a smartass, just what I've come to think is the truth... nobody is certain.
Did you get the jabs, or did you not get the jabs? If you have the jabs the immunity against the specific sub-variant spike proteins the jabs are designed for lasts about a month than begins to go away but at the same time your natural immune response to Covid does not work.
if you don't have the jabs you will have developed full natural immunity that is inate and automatically adaptable to 'meet the challenge of manned spaceflight' so to speak.
