A gamble we all must watch

England yesterday "opened up" while in the midst of a Covid surge ... betting everything on the vaccine.

The non-RDA vaccine that is not showing much success against the D variant.

Boris Johnson made this absolutely bold move ... similar to Churchill giving fighter command "their head" in the Battle of Britain.
Johnson admitted that this would mean reconciling "ourselves sadly to more deaths from Covid." But, he added, "if we can't reopen our society in the next few weeks, when we will be helped by the arrival of summer and by the school holidays, then we must ask ourselves when will we be able to return to normal?"
Boris Johnson is correct

And it is frightening financial markets

Not that he is wrong ... they are frightened because he is right

We need to move past masks and lockdowns ... EVEN if it means deaths occur.

It is bold ... brash and BRUTAL

Particularly in England, never known to take social risks with health.

It is TRUMP

It is Churchhill

It is Martin Luther King

In a way ... those kids hitting the nightclubs last night ... were like soldiers storming Normandy in 1944

There will be losses

Humans were not meant to be locked down

We will discover how strong England actually is.

We wish them success

And will follow their progress

We will loose more lives if the economy doesn't kickstart soon. Also there's alot of thinking that the current surge is not actually as big as the numbers suggest. Track & Trace is also further compounding the issue
[@1051468,Tinkles] appreciate the on the ground point of view.

That track and trace must be fixed or stopped

Am praying the surge is more a wimper
[@1051468,Tinkles] I support your boldness

[@6757,questionWeaver] I take an extremely hard view that our island is over populated anyway (well the planet) so having a natural cull is preferable than a war.

Unfortunately it will be one or the other

Yes ... surprised
