Population back then was far far thinner and travel was not as extensive as now. They never dreamed of travel as we do now. Not in today's numbers.

@DeWayfarer Yes it seems to have died back in China considering their very large population they are over the worst of it problem is not enough people have been tested to have a accurate picture of China.

@SW-User My Grandfather and his wife both had sore throats all the household had the same symptoms he's not around to ask I expect the Doctor would of been called out there was a baby infected as well I do remember he said "We all had it".

@thedarkside I came across an article on this ages ago on Wikipedia however there are differences that Flu/Virus killed young people more than older people there was a lockdown then like we have now it seems similar another bad-boy.

@WatercolourWildFlowers I'm looking at the graph from 1918 and thinking maybe history will repeat itself on the current wave especially looking at China three months looks about right.

@thedarkside The graph came from wikipedia and my Grandfather recalled the Flu Pandemic to me when I was a young boy.
