What is the point?

Of getting the covid vaccine?
Of getting the flu vaccine?

If I am gonna end up getting both...

on TOP of a migraine from hell

and then mother nature decides to make a rude appearance.

Such bullshit.

No vaccine is 100% effective, and while those vaccines might not prevent you from getting the disease, they decrease both your chance of getting the disease and your chance of having a severe case....putting the odds a bit more in your favor.
I've received bith the COVID-19 vaccine and the flu vaccine, and haven't gotten either disease so far....it doesn’t mean that I won't get either of them, but I'm in a high risk group and I figure that some precautions are better than none.

Virtue signaling

@MrBrownstone Ya know, you are the only person on this forum who says so much but writes so little. RIGHT to the point you always are. A no-BS type of guy.

If you haven't had Covid at all and/or have a risk factor, like old age, asthma or obesity, you might want to consider getting it. It does seem to reduce severity.

But if you already had it, and recovered, I'm not sure I would bother with any more vaccines, it's clear they aren't very effective at preventing the spread of Covid.

It seems like the only benefit is to virtue signal that you got it.

Both are pointless, but at least the flu vax gets changed each year. Covid vaxes have not (yet) been changed at all hence why they do not work!

I'm never ever getting Covid vax, and to date I've never had a flu vax.

You know what's a good stress reliever I've heard of? Learning how to use throwing knives? It's not very expensive to start and it just feels so good when you start making them stick!!
zonavar68 · 56-60, M
@GerOttman darts basically the same
SunshineGirl · 36-40, F
The point is to stop you from becoming incubator and super spreader for the next mutation of the virus.
zonavar68 · 56-60, M
@SunshineGirl But it doesn't work! The three main mrna vaxes for Covid do NOT work on any of the current sub-variants as they were only designed to target spike proteins of the 'original' variants and like all viruses it naturally mutates and now evades the vaxes, and all the 'fake' antibodies that the vaxes trigger a person's immune system to produce. Covid has been around enough now that almost everyone has been exposed to it *naturally*.
