Has Covid19 given the governments de facto controls over our lives impinging on everything we strive to do?

We can't travel, we can't shop or socialise, despite being fully vaccinated, without some form of measure being in certain ways wifully followed in a draconian kind of 'war footing' which takes away the very freedoms we are supposed to have and in certain ways, we are being made automatons as the facts are translated by governments voting or imposing rules that guarantee their power over us, like a new form of dictatorship.

Our individual freedoms have ALWAYS been subject to the community's needs. That is is the cost of living in a Community and sharing its combined resources.

or are we protecting the vulnerable like a good society ! back in 1940s Germany the vulnerable wouldnt have been around to need protecting .

It would take someone some supreme effort to make oneself - and with it other dissenting voices - be heard. It is the basis of all civil rights. Sort of in keeping with squeaky wheel gets the grease - except unfortunately these particular 'squeaky wheels' can also end up getting greased.

[As in murdered.]

Still, it will always be vital to speak up.

Let's pretend your government doesn't care and would let you travel anywhere. But... nobody wants you in.

Are you oppressed... or not?
