Those of us who are anti vax

Wishing harm on and hoping that the worst of the vaccination side effects take effect in those that have taken the vaccines just so you can be proven right, is just as bad as the vaxxers who think you shouldn't be afforded health care if you refuse to be vaccinated.

Never lose your humanity.
Fairydust · F
I agree.

Just be kind no matter what they decide to do 😌 it’s their choice and decision to make, no one should judge that, look after yourself. Don’t get involved with people’s choices if what they should or shouldn’t do it.

I don’t get the nastiness 😞
Grvstu · 70-79, F
Yes but the point is vaccination greatly reduce the risk of being seriously ill. I feel strongly about it because I know someone who refused to be vaccinated it is at this moment lying in hospital extremely seriously ill with Covid and on a life support machine. @Fairydust
Fairydust · F
@Grvstu thats very sad, I wouldn’t wish it on anyone, but that’s one person. I know loads who haven’t had to go to hospital, my brothers friend died but he had health issues.
We have to make a decision that’s best for us, people have died from the vaccine also.
Grvstu · 70-79, F
There are many peopke@Fairydust
Personally, I don’t wish harm on anyone. Last month I buried a family member who somehow was less afraid of the Covid virus than the vaccine. Since he refused to be vaccinated, guess which one killed him ? 😞

But yeah, it’s about choice. I’m a retiree, so I can choose to avoid the unvaccinated or those who refuse to wear masks, etc. I’m not afraid of vaccines because I grew up in the wake of polio, and had classmates who had survived the disease. I had three friends in particular, in wheelchairs—none ultimately have lived to be my age. I’m grateful my parents had me vaccinated; polio is not something I would’ve wanted to deal with.

I don’t know how this pandemic is going to play out. I hope people will stop dying, stop getting sick. And that’s the difference between most of us and the so-called “anti-vaxxers”. It’s not a “freedom” issue but simply a “health” one.
SW-User
@bijouxbroussard Its a health issue for everyone. The only reason why the issue of freedom is thrust into the matter is because those who are pro believe those who're anti ought to be coerced or forced into it.

I mean the current stance now is to threaten us with death by hunger and ostracization (if thats a word) since Covid isn't a big enough boogyman .
@SW-User Not really. The vaccines were sought with the hope of slowing the spread of the disease. That’s why they were fighting so hard last year to develop them. The idea was to develop an immunity that might protect those who can’t be vaccinated; small children, or those with severely compromised immune systems.

So, we’ll see.
Grvstu · 70-79, F
I don’t wish harm on anyone but sadly we know people who are very sick at the moment because they have chosen not to take the vaccine. We are very concerned about them and praying for them. The healthcare bill must be enormous. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone. Please take the vaccine people
Grvstu · 70-79, F
Of course I’m telling people to get vaccinated. I care about people. @Fairydust
Fairydust · F
@Grvstu

Ok so name calling is caring. Lol, that’s not very Christian of you.

You don’t get it.

I care very much about people, you’re wrong there again. That’s your opinion. You don’t know me.

@Fairydust good luck with this ... I see no point in continuing

@SW-User That’s insane. He was still a victim and his life should’ve been saved. I’m sorry for your loss. One thing about this pandemic is that we’ve seen people at their absolute worst, on many levels. 😞

Are you anti Vax or just choosing not to for yourself. I’m about choice; I’m vaccinated but I respect (but do not agree) with someone who doesn’t want to. As for being actively “anti vax” when it comes to others, I think that’s as bad as the lose trying to force it on others
SW-User
@DownTheStreet That's a good question. I too am for people choosing what they will or will not allow in their bodies. I guess I'm just used to being called anti for my refusal to vaccinate.
DownTheStreet · 51-55, M
This whole pandemic has exposed some real flaws in how our rights are managed, and how much reach unelected officials have. @SW-User
Fluffybull · F
@DownTheStreet Same here. Choosing not to be vaccinating doesn't mean a person is "anti-vax".
pentacorn · F
this post... is gonna change everything!

SW-User
@pentacorn What post ever does honestly?
pentacorn · F
@SW-User this one!
SW-User
@pentacorn Let's hope you're right.
SubstantialKick · 31-35, M
Very well said. COVID-19 has become such an unnecessarily volatile topic.
Miram · 31-35, F
Vaccination should be discussed with a healthcare professional and then a decision made.

Everyone else is side noise. It should not have been this divisive.
SW-User
People can’t discuss differing points of view without violent abuse these days unfortunately

I consider one's participating in the spread of covid by going mask-less and un-vaccinated a form of not caring about others. Anti-vax is anti-nice & anti-smart.
SW-User
@SnowBlack No take the vax if you so wish, don't force it upon me us my stance
SnowBlack · 18-21, F
@SW-User But those refusing are the cause of much death. 650,000 American dead: many because of the anti-vax crowd with weird ideas about freedom and nothing but lies about covid to support their decision.
SW-User
@SnowBlack When this entire pandemic started I was morbidly obese with a sky rocketing blood pressure reading. So one of the people in danger if I got covid. There were no vaccines at the time so I did what I had to. Wore my mask, went out to work out, ate right, and brought my weight down by 23kgs (50lbs I think) I still got more weight to lose but I'm doing great, I'm out and about. I'm still here new variants or not. I'm out going to work. I come across mask wearers and not mask wearers ( I wear my mask by the way) and I go on with life.

I'm not out concerned with people and what they do or don't do. If I'm uncomfortable walking or standing by a person not wearing her mask I move or cross the street. That's how I've dealt with public smokers for years and I didn't have to make an enemy of them.

100% agree. Don't be a dickbag. We should want the best for each other regardless. How else will things get better?
TexChik · F
When the government is shipping in Covid infected illegals and giving them a bottle of ivermectin tablets , when they don’t require Congress , their staff, the CDC, FDA, NIH, or the White House and staff to take it … immediate distrust is formed . Any time a democrat administration wants to violate the constitution in order to force you to do something , it’s never good .
VirginMatchmaker · 46-50, M
I don't wish harm on anyone. But if they get the virus then they only have themselves to blame.
I know someone who has died from COVID-19 and the devastation it causes. I'd rather be safe than sorry, so I still wear a face mask everywhere unless I'm out in the open.

I totally agree, I never thought people would be that mean towards people who don't agree with them.
Its a choice, people!
