@BlueVeins Including animals that eat animals?
BlueVeins · 22-25
@MrBrownstone Yeah, that's even more inefficient than just eating the prey species... at least, assuming this is done agriculturally. The calculus changes if it's hunted for legitimate environmental reasons. You won't catch me cryin' a tear over dead lionfish in the Carribean.
MonaReeves86 · 36-40, F
@BlueVeins but instead of hundreds of cow being slaughtered they just a take a sample from one or two cows , and multiply it

Pretzel · 61-69, M
it sounds like the maing of a horrible sciene fiction movie
caccoon · 36-40
@Pretzel eating tortured animals is better
Pretzel · 61-69, M
@caccoon well it certainly is to the animals
DearAmbellina2113 · 41-45, F
I think it's a humane and environmentally friendly way of maintaining an omni diet.
If it tastes as good as naturally grown meat and isn't more expensive, it will be the only meat I'll ever buy. There is more to meat than just creating cells though, so we'll have to see about the quality and price.
WintaTheAngle · 41-45, M
I distrust it by definition. It grows on the bone naturally - we used to be told that heavily processed food was bad. Right?
@WintaTheAngle there is a big difference between grown and processed though.
WintaTheAngle · 41-45, M
@NerdyPotato I’ll still pass
caccoon · 36-40
Can't be any worse than the shit they're already selling in the grocery store.

If you're not buying it directly from a farmer, you have no idea anyway.

And even then, they could lie.

I can do without
@TheRascallyOne you're indifferent about whether people eat a lab grown rabbit leg or yours? 🤔
TheRascallyOne · 31-35, M
@NerdyPotato Nobody said anything about rabbit for all you know they could be making human meat
@TheRascallyOne as long as only one organism needs to die (from natural causes is fine) for an unlimited supply, I don't think there is any objection against any type of meat. Not sure about the taste in that case, but it will probably be like chicken.
Belladonna · 41-45, F
I like the idea. It could end animal slavery.
I'm a meat eater.
@Spoiledbrat thanks for sharing, but that wasn't the question. 😅

hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
I prefer the lab to be the feedlot not some energy intense pseudofood.
