It can be an addictive behavior like any other... So it's not so easy to stop...
It's better to not overindulge in things that cause more "hunger" like the ones with sugar or refined flours..
When you feel the anxiety try other coping mechanisms.. Maybe drinking something slowly can help

You need to change whatever's causing the anxiety or find a different coping mechanism. It's not easy but it is simple.
