I don't know what to do...

We've spoken about our issues and seem to be taking steps to try and work things out.
Anyways The guy I'm seeing is currently away. He's asked me to meet him over the weekend. He said Friday or Saturday.
The only thing is I'll be taking doggy with me. As I'm going into work on Friday it might be a bit too much travelling for him especially as I don't drive.
Saturday evening he said he's having the boys round to watch the boxing... He said I can come over whilst they're there or come after...
Dilemma... I've not met them yet...
Might be awkward. Especially with my dog who's still learning how to behave.
New environment and all that jazz!
I have a travel crate for him. Which is easy to carry

Well....I'll take a stab at this.

In my experience, if "the boys" are gathered for any sporting event...they will be consuming a few (or quite a few) alcoholic beverages. Do you really want to subject yourself to that environment? Or subject your puppy to that?
So the logical choice would be to go after they leave (if you go at all). And I hope he is there to greet you when you arrive ... and he hasn't wandered off somewhere with "the boys".
OTOH... you might derive some entertainment out of watching them all yell at the tele.... , but your dog will probably need therapy afterwards. LOL

If you are the one travelling to meet him, and he hasnt put time aside for the both of you - im sorry , you're just a side dish .

If people genuinely like you , they will put effort and time into seeing you - just as you are planning to do for him.

He is asking you to jump through hoops just so you can be there afer his mates leave .
