I buy gift cards for people so they could use them specifically for dates.. that’s like their whole point.. you’re giving someone the gift of a date.. 👀☕️ Telling them to “go on, have a good time..”

my personal favorites are the ones where the girl ask him on a date, he pays for his meal but not hers and she gets offended. Or the ones where the guy asks a girl out and she proceeds to invite her friends and gets mad when he doesnt pay for all of them.

On a first date? Hmmm, I wouldn’t be offended but it would be kinda awkward. I guess it depends on their age, social status, etc. If they’re a college student , with debt and a Toyota 2002 then I wouldn’t mind. If it’s Someone well established in life , it would make me wonder why, if they’re frugal , or they don’t want to “spend” on me. I also tend to split the check on first dates and I wouldn’t use a gift card on a very first date. But that’s just me.

Certain weekends they will offer 4X the fuel points on gift card purchases.

So I will buy gift cards for certain restaurants that I know I will be going to. Win win situation. These days you need to use every angle possible to save a buck.

I use gift cards a lot. Because the store I buy them at gives me 4x fuel points every time I buy one. And I use those fuel points to get a BIG discount on gasoline when I fuel up.

So I don't care if they use a gift card..... it is their gift card after all and if they bought it to get the fuel points....MORE POWER TO THEM...
