The issue here is that racism is taught, it’s not an inherited thing so finding the root to the problem is the key. Most people are just ignorant and spew out ignorance. I’ve been called every name under the sun in college because I was the only minority in my program, yet I’m more successful than 1/2 of them.

It bothers me still but I see how and why it comes about. Education is key

@Yungj87 you may be right in some ways people can be like sheep and brain washed into a bad idea and a wrong call . but i do not think for one minute it is all the weak minded some people are genuinely evil and think others of different creed or colour are inferior humans .

I don't get mad easily, but it is one thing that really sets me off.

I couldn't agree more. I do think we are finally beginning to wake up and recognize it and fight it. Yet we as a nation, indeed as a species, remain somewhere between disgustingly and wilfully racist to unknowingly/unconsciously racist.

We can't let it go - we have to call it out at every turn. We have to call it out and recognize it in ourselves, in our society, laws, policies, school, governments, etc. Not only that, but we need to acknowledge it as part of our history and teach our children of that history.

And that, for the moment is where I'll end my little rant.

I agree with this. What people need to be doing here when they see someone being racist. You need to report it as hate speech.
Get that garbage taken down. Do something about it. I do this every time I see it.

I think that we all pre judge people on somethings and its probably something that we learn from our culture or upbringing or socialization so I just try to have mercy on them because they are hurting themselves. They will reap what they sow.

It’s sad, why can’t we all get along?

Someone on SW told me to “go back to my country” a few days ago. Typical Republicans.

@QueenOfZaun It's the reaction of the weak ones who react to their fear with hate and rejection.
Anyone who disagrees with them might as well be from another country.
iamnikki · 31-35, F
Yep, must be an intellectual disability...to hate someone because of the color of their skin.
And/or to think they are less than based off of what you see on tv or the few you see in real life.
Wish some of those people knew what it felt like to be profiled and treated like something/someone you're not

I've stopped caring about dummies on the internet, always more of em. If some middle age balding dude who embodies hypertension wants to have hemeroids from strained poos because the Kim family moved in next door then that's his deal.
Ryannnnnn · 31-35, M
Sits in his room all mad with his Tucker Carlson and Nixon action figures he plays with, but he gets all mad when you move them from their poses on his oak shelf he put up while listening to "get out of my town" radio.
Ryannnnnn · 31-35, M
Secretly makes them kiss and when his wife walks in he's like "THEY'RE WHISPERING!"
NickiHijab · F
I no longer have patience for them on here.
I'll call out every one of them if I have to. They don't deserve any grace.

@MalteseFalconPunch (A lot of racists don’t realize they are) Very true.
StevetheSleeve · 31-35, M
Yeah, fuck those fuckers.
So much of it is fear/anxiety and so much is ignorance. This is why it will never end
smiler2012 · 56-60
agree with you absolutely it is a side of human nature that individuals show and use , they should be ashamed of themselves for it [athenaarena]
Wiseacre · F
Let’s put it this way: u had a president who is not only racist, he wanted to build a wall to keep foreigners out...this is beyond a “problem!”
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
@Wiseacre she’s not American though….

@Wiseacre that wasn't my president 🤣
