Such shameful images on the Moroccan- Spanish
border.

Every time, they want the minerals, the oil, the gold, but not the people.

an "attack on the territorial integrity" of Spain.

Fuking hilarious seeing that they backed the morrocan gov in colonizing western Sahara after they decided to leave and abandon their colonialist ambitions in that area.
HannibalAteMeOut · 22-25, F
@Miram exactly, apparently now Morocco acts hurt because they treated Western Sahara's pro independence leader in Spain so they are traitors or something... they both want the same thing, one thing is for sure, they will never let the people of the region decide.

A complex situation. All of the EU is involved in this as well.

This last video from your link gets down into more details...

People are not commodities, they`er a liability. Which is really sad.
This is disgusting and so sad.

They pay for natural recourses. If borders are not protected whole Africa and half Asia would move in.

I suspect Spain will just give Ceuta back to Morocco. It’s the only way to slow down the migration wave.

Basically what is happening in the USA with Mexico on a smaller scale. I Wish governments would find more ways to make people's lives better in their home countries. That way people wouldn't risk their lives like this. Of course, this is only wishful thinking because governments don't care about their citizens like they should.
HannibalAteMeOut · 22-25, F
@empanadas yes and the thing is, you can't mess with a territory's natural resources and expect the locals to stay where they are and allow you to. You either get both or none.
It also reminded me how in the beginning of the pandemic, there were masses of refugees trying to cross the Turkish-Greek border and they were being killed. The right wing in Europe tried to call this an invasion. How is it an invasion when the only thing people carry with them is a phone is beyond me...

@HannibalAteMeOut
invasion
they still have the crusades mentality. I mean if you take a part of a foreign country and their resources, of course you will have locals trying to immigrate.

@Elessar I can't really think of any party that is actively doing something against the right wing on that matter. Most people who help are independent and there have also been many cases where they were brought to court for simply helping refugees. Saying it's a shame is an understatement.
Elessar · 26-30, M
@HannibalAteMeOut Because (at least here) they're all skewed at right, or at the very least center, at least the ones that have significant numbers. Here the maximum espression of the "left" is considered the democrat party, i.e. the party that brought up people like Renzi (abolishment of the constitutional right not to be fired without justified reason) and Minniti (agreement with Libya on detention of immigrants in centers that didn't and don't even bother too much to hide their human rights violation). If this is "leftwing" I'm a p*rn actress...
HannibalAteMeOut · 22-25, F
@Elessar same here... don't even get me started on immigrant camps because I'll never finish.
