Which is more true:
- The US population is polarized beyond repair and the country should split it two?

- The extreme right and extreme left are small portion of US population, who should be drowned out by the more moderate middle?

The problem is that whoever shouts loudest is heard the most. Extremes on both sides are very loud, so the mass majority is rarely heard.
