Indian people are listed under 'Asian'. Muslims of Pakistani origin are the biggest part of that bracket though and that is a caveat. Though they disagree on many things like Kashmire, British SE Asians have similar views in some ways.
Two-thirds of those from the Indian sub-continent voted to remain, that is pretty clear. Some that I canvassed (I did a bit of canvassing for remain in 2016) wanted Brexit because it would force the UK to have more 'commonwealth' than EU migrants. If they can't bring in the Polish, then they would have to bring in someone else. So they voted Brexit for the opposite reason to Farage fans: to let in more people of colour. This may sound nuts but their argument does have a logic and it is kind of what is happening.
Sunak though is a-typical. Irrespective of race, he is a ruthless political player and knew that most Conservatives were Brexit fans so in Tory circles, this would help his career. This is the demographic that mattered to him.
