The uniformity reminds me of my accommodation in a 'student village' in Cardiff in the 1990s. Row upon row of identical blocks. On one of my first trips out alone I forgot to note the number of our house and got lost when I returned from the shops 😭 Mobile phones weren't common in those days and I couldn't contact my housemates, so I ended up having to go to the university offices to find out where I lived 🤷‍♀️

@SunshineGirl I lived on campus for three years in Cyncoed in the seventies.
Our rooms were smaller and as spartan as these Soviet apartments!
Today’s student accommodation is much more luxurious.
