I Have Been to Another Country

I have travelled around a bit and been to quite a few countries in Europe and across the Atlantic to Canada. Always great to see new scenery, new cities and have a go at new languages (to be polite as a guest). However sometimes I see stranger things just travelling a few miles into my nearest city and find cultures very different from mine within the borders of my own country. Some things are brought in by immigrants, some are indigenous and some are part of the absorption of mainly US culture into British ways of speaking and behaving.

Living in a world where barriers of 'localness' have long been blown apart (in the Western Hemisphere at least) it isn't always necessary to travel beyond the borders of your own country to find exotic experience.
