Which Republicans are actually "really mad"?

And why should I give a shit if they get lumped together when they can't or won't articulate their differences.

Republicans are very mad that President Joe Biden had the gall, in a prime-time speech on Thursday, to denounce Republicans who support the overturning of elections.

All Biden did was say things that were demonstrably factually accurate. The only false statement was this:

“Not every Republican, not even a majority of Republicans, are MAGA Republicans,” Biden said. “Not every Republican embraces their extreme ideology.”

This is being diplomatic because clearly, the majority of the GOP base (based on loads of opinion polls) are MAGA Republicans.

The (MAGA) Republican legislators still ignored that and said that Biden was labelling half the country as enemies of the state. He wasn't but if he did, it would have been more accurate!
The only thing really political about his speech was his bizarre decision to refer to them as "semi fascist". They are just fascists, no need for a qualifier here.

There are 2 lists of 14 characteristics of fascism and the GOP has nailed all 28.

And those that support them might not consider themselves fascists but they clearly are telling the world that fascism is something they are willing to go along with.

Don't worry about it Misty. The 'semi'fascists' Biden spoke of only exist in his shriveled mind.

Do I have your blessing to do that?

No reply - cuz you will do what you want anyway, and complain.
@Budwick Lol. Of course! Do you do any different?

Do you do any different?

No, I don't. I don't ask stupid questions like "So that means I can just just equate all Republicans with Trumpists, and piss on the RiNO's along with all other non Trumpists?"

Depends on which interpretation of "mad" you're using, as in "really mad" meaning completely insane, and there is a whole list of those, or "really mad" meaning very angry and I think there's a few of those but a lot less than those of the GQP loon flavour 🤪

Thats an interesting question, since I have been told several times by Americans that America is a Republic.. Not a Democracy..Recent events do highlight this..😷

Biden threatened anyone that opposes the constitution with an F15.

I think you can count non-MAGA Republicans on one hand (and naturally the majority of the GQP excommunicates them as RINO's), so it really doesn't matter if they are mad, if they are mad about Biden decrying fascism, it proves the shoe actually fits

btw it is remarkable to me that you were able to use the complete "S" word without getting any "adult" tag on this 🤣
@SW-User lol. I guess I'm special.

Most “Rhinos” are like dogs in a trailer park they won’t totally leave because the MAGA might feed them @SW-User

Actually they support not stealing elections
@eli1601 Thanks for your insights.

All Republicans know the election was stolen
Actually, the majority of Americans, as represented in multiple polls, know the 2020 election was free and fair. We've all heard Trump declare it was stolen and we've all waited in vain for evidence supporting Trump's claims of "massive voter fraud." And we're STILL waiting.

A January 2021 Morning Consult survey of 1,990 registered voters nationwide showed 65% responded that they believe the 2020 election was "free and fair." But when those results were broken down by party affiliation, only one-third of Republicans were in agreement with that statement. When asked what sources helped lead them to believe the election was fraudulent, a majority of Republicans cited former President Donald Trump, who has repeatedly claimed without evidence that his loss was not legitimate.

A December 2021 poll of 1,000 adults conducted by the University of Massachusetts Amherst and YouGov, found that 58% of all respondents believed Joe Biden’s victory in the 2020 election was legitimate. Only one-third of respondents said it was not legitimate. Of those who view the election as illegitimate, 83% named "fraudulent ballots supporting Joe Biden" as the reason for their belief.

Another December 2021 poll, this one conducted by the Washington Post and the University of Maryland, asked 1,101 adults: "Regardless of whom you supported in the 2020 election, do you think Joe Biden’s election as president was legitimate, or was he not legitimately elected?" Nearly 7 in 10 respondents said Biden was legitimately elected, while 29% said he was not.

A Quinnipiac University poll conducted one month after the November 2020 election found similar results. Six in 10 respondents said Biden’s win was legitimate, versus 34% who said it was not legitimate. A majority of respondents in the Quinnipiac poll also said they did not believe there was widespread voter fraud in the 2020 presidential election, whereas 38% said they did believe there was fraud.

When Quinnipiac conducted a second poll six months after the election, the number of respondents who believed the election to be legitimate increased to nearly two-thirds. Respondents who said the contest was illegitimate dropped to 29%.

@eli1601 You mean that unironically, which is cute, considering what happened on January 6th, in an attempt to steal an election:

LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
I generally take that to mean that they are referring to Republican politicians.
@LordShadowfire Fair enough. It does seem to characterize the vast majority of Republican officeholders.

Folks like Cheney and Kinzinger seem pretty much doomed, and I'm sure McConnell and others aren't happy about being connected with sociopaths.
