Who ever thought that only capitalists were Republicans never understood politics.
Both sides are guilty.
You're either a wealthy Republican and therefore a capitalist or a Democrat that receives PAC money and therefore receive the money from the capitalist wealthy that run the corporations.
One way or the other it goes through the wealthy.
The only way to stop this is campaign spending limits. And boy will you hear a scream from all the wealthy if it happens. Regardless of party. Yes even Independents.
