I had a math teacher who was a big black guy, Mr Colin’s.. he could talk about the seafood buffet in Las Vegas for the whole period because he gets carried away when he talks about food .. so when we didn’t want him to teach and give out lesson...

I had a History teacher who was like that with conspiracy theories 😂 we would always ask deep questions because we knew he would go on a rant & take up class time. He was a cool dude though & he actually made sense.

it is even better than Shoney's which was my favorite until then.

I used to have one in my area but they closed down. Plus I don't live that way anymore anyway. But they were decent. I used to like the baked potato and bread at dinner. I think it was steak too. It's been a long time. It was a salad bar I think. @Pretzel

For me they always disappoint. The idea if all you can eat excites me. But really I can only eat so much and the quantity just serves to devalue the product. I never learn though lol

@JimboSaturn Furthermore, the more food available, the faster I feel a need to eat like I have to eat it all. The opposite of fine dining where you savour each bite slowly because there is a limited supply

I like the idea of them! Im picky and they allow me to check out all the food.

While in college I worked in the kitchen of a retirement center. We did the whole buffet thing for the residents. and it was nice enough, but bland of course. They thing that got me is that part of my job was watching the food and letting people know they couldn't put uneaten portions back. No one wanted to waste food.

Ive never been to a good one but i use to go to one bc they had matcha icecream. I would fill up on it . It was so good.

The idea is good but a lot of the people are greedy shameless bastards who stand there picking all the prawns and meat out of the serving trays, often with their fingers or eating as they pick. I've seen a woman being asked to leave as she was filling containers with food to take home. You also wonder if all the large quantity of leftovers gets re-served.
