Did you know that Chicago has a "basement"?

These look like places where The Joker would hang out...lol.

The Dark Knight was filmed in this location. That's why it looks like that.

I've spent a lot of time skulking around down there.

@Elena05 There is a little bit of NYC influence in Gotham, for certain. Especially in the latest Joker movie where everybody had New York accents lol. But it was originally influenced by Chicago based upon a description written by the creator of Batman when he first came here. Driving into Chicago, he was stunned at how beautiful and huge the city looked, but then contrasted that experience with how dirty and chaotic it is once you actually get inside the city proper.

@Elena05 That's what I thought too. I think that Gotham City represents New York City a bit more in Batman: The Animated Series.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@SubstantialKick Yeah that's probably the case, the comics usually differ from the cartoons a little bit.

I've been there. Looks like lower Wacker St.

@BlueMetalChick It wasn't me...but Don't feel bad. It's all good now 🤗

@BlueMetalChick I think car jackings and theft are way up everywhere.

They have skyrocketed out of the blue in my hometown as well and they're having increases in other cities in the state. My guess is it's because the price of recycling cat converters has jumped up so much so the choppers are paying more.

@MethDozer They've definitely skyrocketed in my city (Aurora).

Been there like 100 times. Hahahaha

The taxi drivers are like, "You want to see where Dark Knight was filmed?" And take me here.

Without fail Hahahaha

@SubstantialKick Years before it got exploded, me and several friends broke into the abandoned factory on Halloween night so we could explore around with flashlights. We also brought a backpack full of snacks and a book of scary stories to tell in the dark.

@BlueMetalChick Damn, sounds like an adventure...

@SubstantialKick Last year we did it with an abandoned wire factory. That one was especially fun because it'd clearly been forsaken for some time. There was a bulletin board with some OSHA paperwork that had been stamped in 1996.

I’ve hung out there lol

@SW-User I did a few times myself, several years ago in my 20's.
