Judge not, that ye be not judged.

These are things I meditated on yesterday. I am writing them here so I won't forget them. I am not trying to preach to anyone, though. These are thoughts the Holy Spirit pressed on me yesterday to help me with my understanding. However, if you get a blessing out of these thoughts, it would be a blessing for me too. :-)

Matthew 7:1-2

1599 Geneva Bible

1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged, and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured unto you again.

In my life, this has meant that every time I judge someone, Elohim puts the exact same situation in my life, and many times, I don't do any better than the one I judged. Then Elohim judges me with the exact level of judgment I used against my fellow man. I try VERY hard not to judge others, for this very reason.

Now, let me look at the bigger picture. Suppose I have passed and am now sitting in Elohim's judgment, but instead of judging me with his love and kindness, he judges my life as I have judged others throughout my life? What if I have judged harshly and self-rigorously? Would my life stand up to my own judgement? Of course not, so I try very hard not to judge others, no matter what.
