Christianity over all other religions, appeals to me

My family is Roman Catholic, I was confirmed when I was twelve. I try to go to church Christmas and Easter, make my confession twice a year minimum, and all I can do. I love churches, to go into Sainte -Chapelle, and Notre Dame, is very much for my happiness.

I love going to our local church here, Notre Dame de l'Assomption, and listening to the priest, but it's never too regular. I describe myself willingly as a Christian. I have long admired a number of saints, and I love returning to the books I read when I was younger.
As a Christian, I cannot go along with Roman Catholic traditions. Confirmation does not give, nor bring salvation. Neither does performance have anything to do with salvation. We do not pray to saints. The Word describes "saints" as any person who has given their heart and life to Christ. Not one of us is any higher or better than the other, and Jesus says not to hold one person, not even the angels or saints or even Mary, in higher esteem than anyone else or more than Jesus. Our service and commitment to God is every day, as it is the Christian way of life. A fellowship and relationship with God every day. The bible says Jesus is our only Mediator between God and man. So we confess to only Him. Mere man, is not holier than God, nor sinless, so we confess to no man. Man cannot forgive our sins and under the New Covenant, we go to, and pray only to Jesus (God). God tells us in His Word to pray and confess our sins only to Him, as He is the only one worthy enough to receive our requests and to forgive us. Prayer is a direct line to God. These guidelines are given by God, Himself, in His Word.
