Wanting to give you some conversation; adult to adult. Positive and loving.馃拹

Christianity focusing on His Holiness, the Christ, Jesus is a beautiful faith. 'I was a christian for many years. I went through about 5 years of being an "ex christian" but this was my response to dogmatic "pushing down the throat" closed-minded, unloving toward those not christian, thinking. My release from it was gradual and decisively changing my spiritual journey, over a few years.

Then I found the Baha'i faith and many don't even know what that means, but I can tell you that it enables me to LOVE and SERVE Humankind without trying to earn a reward. I don't have all the answers but I read and think and pray (alone and with others, a wonderful loving community) and feel that the answers I have found, WILL be helpful in bringing about world peace, someday. Heal our communities of racial injustice, gender inequality, lack of education for our children and injustice in all areas of life.

It is frustrating but dear, keep in mind, you are on your journey;
no one else can really understand anything about anyone else, but themselves.

I would say that I'm a Baha'i. Does that make me better than you? NO.
I'll respect your views even if you do not respect mine,
because your disrespect and even hate toward me
will not change the LOVE in my heart for you...
To understand this better; know that the Baha'i faith loves ALL faiths, even those we do not understand or practice personally.

Sending some love to you today.馃挆

Question, please. By your opening title/statement, are you saying you are automatically a Christian, because your family is?
@LadyGrace Not exactly, that is just a detail. I realized in my early 20s that I had to pursue my own individual relationship with God.

I was raised in a Christian family... and have been one my whole life. Yes... equally flawed.

{@latinbytterfly ] alas you rather answered your own question by saying nobody is perfect but in another sense sometimes people need to take a step back rather than be enraged by a comment which then gets out of control

people forget you dont have to agree on everything to get along. They forget how to respect one another. Its not like you can change their views, so why they bother trying to change your own is funny.
its kind of sad that it takes a special kind of person to be able to get along with others who have differing beliefs instead of insulting them.

I wish we could have conversations like adults too, but sadly, some people's minds never evolve past high school
iamnikki31-35, F
@MsAlaineEYes yes, and being open minded. Some people are so set in their ways, they won't even hear what another person has to say.
MsAlaineEYesF
@iamnikki What would you like to say IF someone was more openminded, not so set intheir ways, and is WILLING TO HEAR what you say? BTW, did you notice your reply was NOT a conversation or respond about anything in mine? One might say that they did not feel HEARD by you. Just something to think about. It's easier to complain about what others may be doing, and SO easy to do it ourselves. What do you think?
iamnikki31-35, F
@MsAlaineEYes I intentionally chose not to speak about religion. The initial comment that I made to the original posters post was a general statement, not one about religion.

I am not obligated to make conversation with you, not at that moment nor this one.

I only stated factually that I'd like to have adult conversation sometimes, without folks arguing, and being rude.

There are many types of Christian.
MsAlaineEYesF
@Doomflower Isn't it wonderful. Like flowers in a garden, each adding a color or fragrance that brings beauty to the world. The weeds of being different, for the sake of "not being like them" sprout and do not add to the beauty but can choke out the flowers that are living together in unity.

I totally agree
