Hi, I've been a way a long time, how, are you doing?
This is a tough one for me, right now and for a few years it woud be easy for me to say I feel God has been a terrible person letting everyone down and teaching us nothing.
However if a look back properly and hard enough.....
30 ish Years ago I was giving more than 10% of everything, everything and anything was on offer including my life, things changed when I was suddenly responsible for other people and their lives and I was no longer in a position to offer as much as I had, additionally certain events made me aware that it was very much a one way street, no matter how much was offered it was never enough, I overcame every obstacle yet more were presented and god failed every test, but then we leap forward 10 years to a point around 20 years ago, in 97 my dad died, in 2003 the house we were living in burned to the ground, we had no insurance or any thing useful other than the stuff I had learned in the last 10 years, it was those experiences that got us through the battles with authorities over the legalities of building a new home and claiming land to live on, its very important to remember that I spent the last ten years learning everything I needed to know to deal with this problem, the only reason I was in a position to learn all this was because I was doing work for a Christian institute, in other words without God I wouldn't have the knowledge to live the life I live today, god provided nothing physical, only the opportunities to learn and apply what had been learned , I'm now married, have 3 teen kids, we're unaffected by covid and the current global recession, we all have excellent health and plenty of well paying work, personally I feel that I have been rewarded for my efforts and I'm now glad to have gone through the grief and stress all those years ago.
Sadly God works slowly and expects rather more than we expect to have to give, we will lose faith on the way and it's only when we look back and analyse our lives properly that we can see God's input.
