Sketchy job

I think they were sketchy wanting to put me to work before I even got paid or was on the payroll, this seems like an illegal practice. The girl who was new that day like me didn't show up the next day either I know so ,because I saw her at the weedshop in the morning. I don't think anyone wants to work for free without a guaranteed offer or pay f those scammers.
