Sketchy job

I am looking for a job I was desperate this week, I accepted something that's not even an offer they want me to come in today and work for 8 hrs and I'm not even on the payroll yet, I have no official hire date, idk who my manager is, it all seems sketchy to me they said that they'll call me once they make their decision to hire me or not? No background check or w4 form to sign no one has looked at my i.d or social yet. They want to throw me onto a work day without paying me yet, I've never gone through this "hiring process" before, they are Indian and seem kind of rude expecting me to work fast when I'm not even officially hired or even getting paid yet, I was told that I can come back today for 8 hrs and that we'll go from there? Seems sketchy to me.
