Working housekeeping sucks! Rooms have to be clean and ready for guests in under 8 mins.

That means both beds need to be made, bathroom clean, condiments for coffee replaced vacuum, mop the restroom. And make sure remote is by tv. People steal remote batteries. I have a lot of iPhone chargers though! 🙂

My friend took her son and husband stayed in a motel outside of Disney World and they got to the motel late in the evening. She went to check the bathroom and took a towel to wipe the floor because there was so much hair on it. They had 2 housekeepers to clean every room so she didn’t make a fuss but requested another towel. It’s like being a cleaning bucket and Lysol spray if you want a clean room

@cherokeepatti I guess some places are a little more lax but yeah 2 to a room. One does the restroom and the other one does the beds. The beds take the longest to make but some can make a bed in 2 mins . It still takes me 3/4 mins just to make one bed

@SW-User people have gone into their motel rooms and lifted the mattress to inspect for bedbugs and discovered drugs or guns under the mattress. They can’t expect housekeepers to find everything

@SW-User exactly what it is. Imagine coming to the USA for a better life and then getting jobs like this. I heard a young Mexican woman who was working in housekeeping at the university say she was quitting and going back home because the work wasn’t nearly as hard as it was in the USA.
