Agreed. I don't know if I'd associate rebellion with bare feet but reading stories about barefooters gives me hope that people will eventually give barefooting a chance.

I'm not keen on going barefoot all the time, but it's certainly good in certain places in the summer in good weather; walking over short 'sweet' grass, wooden bridges, pebbles & the beach are all good in bare feet! I don't like it if the ground's cold though. I also think it's better to be barefoot if you're going to climb a tree, I haven't actually tried it yet but I can't imagine climbing a tree in walking boots or trainers! With bare feet you probably get a better grip. :-)

I know what you mean. Being a barefooter just made my life more happy. Have had a lots of good stories of being a barefooter too ^^

I go barefoot as much as I can. Right now I'm three days straight without wearing shoes. I've walked through city, in the subway, in fast-food joints, and my feet are completely black, as I haven't washed them over this time. Going barefoot and having dirty feet is so liberating, I love to see the reaction of other people and not caring at all!
