All the time,
It gets to a point where I don't know if something is a mistake or if it's all in my head,
Looking at a mirror reflection of you art or horizontal flipping can help tho...
Or taking a break and coming back to it,
Sometimes when I think it looks awesome I come back to it and it looks terrible and other times I think it looks trash but come back to it a while later and it looks pretty good
Being too familiar with something can make it invisible

Art used to be a huge part of my life but the older I get, the less interest I have in creating it. I still enjoy looking at it/listening to it though.

@DearAmbellina2113 that's too bad. Do you regret it?
DearAmbellina2113 · 41-45, F
@caPnAhab not really? I don't think I was very good at it anyway.
Nah i like my art.. its beautiful 😃.

Yep.
I start doing it on an artistic impulse, but discard it when the feeling goes .
Sometimes i like it, but more often than not , i pick it to pieces and end up disliking it.
I suppose its like why some actors and musicians dont watch or listen to their own work. You know it too well to enjoy it.

@OogieBoogie True. We're probably our worst critics because only we can see the vision of what it's supposed to be.
I put a lot of projects on hold for a while and come back to them later. Though even after giving my ears a rest I'm still critical sometimes.

@caPnAhab i think youre right.
You get a vision of what to create , and anything less than that ideal seems a failure.

@OogieBoogie but someone else may love it at least

I knit things and can then see the flaws in them. Luckily, a lot of my friends and family are willing to use and wear stuff I make.
caPnAhab · 26-30, M
@bijouxbroussard at least the good thing about art is that you can't do it wrong because no one knows what you're doing.
Also, neat skill I wish I knew
