In Light Of The Telford Court Cases

...in which 1000's of girls had been sexually exploited by gangs from the 1980's onwards and the whole coercion, I think it's important for me, as both a prostitute and of that of a business manager/pimp/madame (or whatever you'd like to call the term) to state that I really don't condone these individuals or their actions, or indeed that my own business practice is anything like that.

There is a stereotype of prostitutes - downtrodden, abused, addicts, beaten up - that, fair enough, are as we all know out there in the world, and my heart goes out to them, and then there's others, like myself, that are part of the profession because they see no harm in it and that they are comfortable with.

I subscribe to this latter working model. My girls are happy at work, professional, get along together (a valuable factor), work hard and are supportive of each other...and they're happy enough to have me as their boss.

Being forced to do anything, with violence, is just an awful and inhumane way to treat one another, although it feels hypocritical to state that I will use violence against anyone that does challenge their freedom.

Treat people with respect and they will, hopefully, respect you back.

The victims in Telford weren't treated with respect from either their pimps, the police or government agencies.

Why was it allowed to go on for so long?
AmberDuponte · 26-30, F
@Tastyfrzz There were whole issues over race and intimidation; Essentially that social services would appear as racist with changing Asian/Indian men and the whole concept of child prostitution legally tarring the victims with the crime, rather than the real perpetrators.

@AmberDuponte Indian and Asian men are more of a problem? Cultural misogyny?
AmberDuponte · 26-30, F
@Tastyfrzz Maybe more misogyny, but wouldn't say any more of an issue. Men in general? Perhaps, but they're were probably woman too involved in it all. Just a sad state of affairs....
