We're trying to figure out what these are at work.

I found them in an isle and we don't want to throw them out if they're important. Are they something to do with electrical wiring?

Those your nipple clamps bro?

@WaryWitchWandering You caught me, Sis.

Yup. They are insulation displacment tee connectors. For 14 to 16 AWG wire, I expect. (given the blue color).

Not for house wiring, more like vehicle or appliance type wiring.

@SinlessOnslaught They are pretty slick when you need to connect a new wire to an existing wire and it's not convenient to cut the existing wire to make a splice. They are a fairly permanent solution, as long as they don't get wet. Worth hanging onto if you think you might ever need to do something like that. The also come in red for smaller wire sizes (18 to 22 AWG). I keep a handful of both around.

@FrozenWasteland Any use for automotive?

@SinlessOnslaught Yup. They are common in aotomotive, aftermarket especially for tapping into existing wiring. I've used tehm a lot over the years.

Scotch Locks! They’re for attaching cables together. The metal bit inside bites into the cable and provides continuity. The plastic clips over so it can’t short out. Used a lot in automotive repair.
For splicing into wires kinda a way way to connect two wires with kit soldering or twisting together
