If you see one of these, PLEASE STAY AWAY!!! It looks like a big red and black ant but is actually a wingless female wasp called a Velvet Cowkiller Ant. It has a sting that's far worse than any regular, wasp, bee, or even hornet. --- I'm from Belgium, but this was a message I shared on facebook that no-one commented, or even added a 馃槻 reaction to, so I' sharing it here. I THINK this bug lives -somewhere- in America. I don't know about Europe, let alone other continents though.
Yep those are seen in the US, in Kentucky they have the largest of them which are nearly an inch in length fortunately they are not aggressive but you sure don't want to be stung by one.
