I'm pickling some of the hot peppers that I grew this year. I have some Hot Portugals, and some jalapenos. They're sliced and packed in brine. I'll try to let them go for a month or so.
@Peaches I dried a bunch, and froze some, but I have three jars of peppers aging in the basement. I also have the odd bottle stuffed with peppers and vinegar for the table.
@geoam1 This is the first time I'm trying peppers. It's just a simple salt brine. 1 tablespoon of salt to 2 cups water. I got the vented tops from Amazon. Every few days I have to skim the white stuff off the top, but I hear that happens and isn't something to be worried about.
